What we collect

Transit Pulse is a free bus and train tracker. We collect anonymous usage data — searches, page views, feature taps — to understand what’s working and whether our ads are reaching the right people. No names, no emails, no location. We don’t know who you are.

Analytics

Two tools handle this. Umami runs on our own server, uses no cookies, and doesn’t share data with anyone. The Meta (Facebook) SDK fires standard events like “someone searched for a stop” so we can measure ad performance. Neither tool identifies individual users.

Third-party services

Meta’s SDK measures ad performance using events like ViewContent and Search. Meta may use this under its own Data Policy. Umami is self-hosted and cookie-free — nothing leaves our server.

Cookies

We don’t set any. The Facebook SDK may set its own; see Meta’s cookie policy for details.

Data retention

We keep Umami data for up to 12 months. Meta retains their event data on their own schedule.

Your choices

uBlock Origin will block the Facebook SDK entirely if you’d rather opt out. Umami uses no cookies and honours Do Not Track.
